Ocean acidification is a significant issue that affects humanity in a multitude of different ways, from affecting individuals to affecting entire industries to even affecting large portions of the entire population. At the moment, the balance of power in society is preventing change from occurring; therefore, in order to create change, we must alter the balance of power in society ourselves. This might seem like a daunting task, but the reality is that we actually all have power, and all we need to do is use it by taking action; some ways that we can do so include spreading awareness and reducing our carbon footprint. What we must not do, however, is let the current balance of power tell us what we can and cannot do; otherwise, by the time those in power get around to solving this issue, it might already be too late.
